ASU is strongly committed to the community and believes that its responsibility to the community is one of its highest priorities.

The Fire Service Programs at ASU's Polytechnic campus include a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Fire Service Management (BAS-FSM), a Master of Science in Technology Degree in Fire Service Administration (MST-FSA), and a Fire Service Management Online Certificate. The sponsorship of seminars, workshops, and a peer-reviewed journal are planned for the future. The Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Fire Service Management is planned for online delivery in 2006. Some online courses for both the undergraduate and graduate programs are currently available because of the overwhelming response from our Web site visitors who are asking us to deliver our programs in an online platform.

ASU Fire Service Programs are designed to provide for its customers' needs in several important ways. First, it is committed to provide the highest quality education and learning experience possible, through effective curriculum design and course preparation. Second, it is recognized that students and program participants want flexibility, convenience, and choice in the delivery systems used to deliver its programs.

These programs prepare students and practitioners to successfully perform managerial and executive duties in federal, state, and local, fire departments and related fire service organizations, including institutions of higher learning by providing them with cutting edge technology, education, and skills in the areas of fire service management and administration.
